I like the way you have wrapped the story around this dialogue. These are events in history that we cannot, and should not, forget. Though we seem to have difficulty learning the lesson, remembering does have an effect.

Very powerful words.
My heart aches for the task you are undertaking; I too write of things people do not wish to hear. My prayers are with you. One small suggestion - as hard as it will be to write this, we write it so that hopefully others will read, as you said, and it never happenes again - that someone can learn from our words, and from experiencing, feeling the pain, and horror through our words. As much as possible we need to tell our stories as they happened - powerful events dont need our personal judgement (as in the word swine). Change happens when individuals read our words, experience the horror and the pain on an intimate level and make the personal choice NOT to perpetuate the negative examples found in the true stories of which we are compelled to write. I applaud your choice to tell your truth; Yahweh/Jehovah be with you. ... |

The Shoah was unprecedented. The minutes of the Wannsee conference prove that beyond the shadow of a doubt.
But... How about the native Americans? How about the Blacks sold into slavery? How about the atrocities in China during the Thirties? How about the Armenians? The Kurds? How about Stalin's victims? How the Dutch behaved in Indonesia? How about the Balkan in recent history? How about the Hutus and Tutsis? How about the Crusades? How about some Pope screaming, "It's God's will!" and medieval hordes killing everyone who wasn't a Christian. How about the Inquisition? The list is very long and gets longer every day.
It appears that finishing off one another is one of the less endearing aspects of humanity, that's for sure!
Please, don't take offense or feel embarrassed. I think I understand your outcry. I felt I had to add my two cents...
