I like it. Sweet and so aptly describes those rare moments in our lives when something unusual crosses our paths and we are faced with a choice. He could have leapt over the counter... but, alas, life is not a movie....

Cute vignette. Love at first sight? Can it be love if the feeling is unilateral? Can it be true love if it is solely based on appearances (of the hand or otherwise)? Rational or no, life is full of such experiences. Hemingway didn't like the name Ernest either. But it works here to establish that this is a common, socially awkward man....

I loved the title--could see the scene in a movie--ahh, but life is not one--too bad, then we could rewind and change things and fast forward and skip the bad parts....
